Day Five
On this day we went to Lucasfilm where we learnt some portfolio techniques for getting a job. One tip included puting your demo reel on your ipod in case you meet anyone casually. Another tip included updating your portfolio regularly. After visiting Lucasfilm we went to National University of Singapore (NUS) to meet their staff and see what projects they had on. In addition we met some start-up companys who had wide ranging areas of expertise.
I also had a great lunch this day which consisted of 1 iced tea, 2 banglongs (Turkish delight drink), 3 tuna pasties, 1 chicken noodles and a deep fried banana.
Then we went for a final dinner at Funan a technology mega mall all quite emotional.
I have had a great, awesome and fantastic time so if you get the chance to do what I have done, do it is well worth it.
Day Four
Today we visited three companies. First was 3D sense media school were they had some nice work to show. Next we went to Tiny Island productions Where they had some amazing work to show. Finally we went to scrawl Studios where they had some diverse work. Interestingly enough All of them have a great working environment. Also the we went to a gorgeous Chinese temple and had a killer Indian lunch with a drink that tastes like liquid Turkish delight it is called a boulong (I dont know if iI have spelt this correctly).
Day Three
Today was interesting and eye opening. First we went to ST electronics a military contractor who dose animation work on the side. After that we went to see Rainbow Media who showed us a much expanded look at how to develop an Intellectual property by making a large marketing complain. Then we went to the amazing Singapore Art Museum where I picked up some souvenirs.
Day two
today was quite interesting as we got to look at come more land marks of the region and while being given a short history lesson about Thomas Raffles. In addition to this we were given some more local food and shown a what housing would be available if we moved here.
We also looked a Sunwoo animation today at the moment they are not fully set up so it was hard to see what it would be like to work there.
Day One
The first Day of Experience@Sinapore was a whirl wind of Information and acronyms(Singapore love’s acronyms). The highlights of day one include going to the Singapore City Gallery where we observed what Singapore will do in the coming years to cope with the growing population. They Illustrated this by showing a huge detailed model of how the city would look in 20 -30 years time. Other highlights would be Going to fusionopolis run by the Media Development Authority (MDA) which as a school/Industry Facilitator for all digital media matters. Where we were shown a 3d movie and played around with a huge touch screen table and a couple of games as well. The last highlight was going to the Marina Barrage a salt water purifier station where we found some stunning vistas of Singapore.
So far the trip is going well. Although the food is taking some time to geting use to.

I am now in Singapore after a bumpy flight. ended up watching 3 films on the plane The informant,G-Force and cloudy with a chance of meatballs. At the moment I am in my hotel room after a scenic taxi ride in. first impressions of Singapore amazing and I cant wait until tomorrow to start really exploring this potential utopia.
